Family Room

Here is a bit about me...I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I come from a family of five. I have two sisters and two brothers. Both my sisters have web pages of which I have links down below. I have two wonderful boys. Brian who is 35 years old and the father of our grandson Anthony. My son Steve is 32 years old and is the father of our Grandson Max. We are enjoying being grandparents. I wished I would have known how much fun grandparenting was.

I have many hobbies/interest. You can find them in the play room. Let me explain how my involvement in cyber life came about. Brian, (my oldest) had just left home for boot camp. I had the empty nest syndrome and I needed something to do. My sister came up and introduced me to chat on Prodigy. I haven't left since. Thanks Paulla. I came to the Internet almost 11 years ago with lots of help I might add. And now, here I am creating my own web pages. While I chatted for a few years, I came upon some wonderful and cherished friends. Where else can you enter someone's home at midnight and feel welcomed? There was the ole gang at "PARENTS" on Prodigy... Cattnip, Mistygreen, Opener, Polrky1, Pro37, SassyTee, Summer, Takens, Thunder, USNavy2, and Whaleboat. What a blast we had many many nights. From food fights to sound wars. We had several get together. It was so much fun. While it was mostly fun, there were a few exceptions to the rule. So be careful out there in your virtual life. You can meet some real strange and awful people. As you do in your everyday world.

Then I ventured around a bit and that was where I met RedRover. He has become a Cherished Friend. One of his favorite hobbies is painting, of which I will find the perfect spot for one of his pictures here in my cabin.. What an ARTIST he is!!! We also did several IRL visits. I was an honored hostess to show him California for the first time. Also, summer of 1997 our families vacationed in Florida at the same time. So we were able to get together for a couple of dinners.

Then, last but not least, came a few more of my favorites. Babyjane, Lovechild and Majorhavoc. I have met all three of them also IRL. Majorhavoc thinks he's a better bowler than I. Shhhhh, don't tell him, he is! Babyjane and I decided we must be sisters from a former life. We are so much alike...although she likes to say she is younger than me....NOT!!!! Lovechild, well she is just such a sweetie, and she's promised to build me a bridge when I build my log cabin.

The downfalls of chat is the fact that you meet people all over the globe. They become your wonderful friends and you just don't get to visit with them enough. I did make a trip out to see Babyjane Jan of 1998. What a blast we had.

Although I really don't chat anymore, I still try my hardest to keep in contact with whom I have met and become friends with. I found myself back in school in the fall of 1997. It's amazing how school is so much more important to me today than it was while it was free and I was young. :)
